The CDPDJ announces the finalists of the 32nd Rights and Freedoms Award: Six Québec employers who promote equality in employment

Montreal, February 9, 2021 - The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse is proud to announce the names of the finalists for the Rights and Freedoms Award, which highlight this year the role of employers in the fight against inequalities. The Award will be presented to employers who have implemented innovative initiatives to promote substantive equality in employment and thus workplaces that are representative of the socio-demographic reality of Québec society. The members of the jury have selected the following six finalists:

Category 1 : Public body subject to the Act Respecting Equal Access to Employment in Public Bodies 

  • Revenu Québec
  • La Société de transport de Montréal (STM)
  • La Ville de Montréal

Category 2 : Any other organization or company 

  • La Caisse Desjardins du Centre-nord de Montréal
  • La compagnie de théâtre Jean Duceppe
  • Énergir

The Rights and Freedoms Award will be presented to one finalist per category at the virtual awards ceremony scheduled for March 31.
