Video | Housing Academy

This video from the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse imitates a reality show by featuring prospective tenants who must compete to obtain an apartment. Parody is used to raise landlords awarereness of their legal obligations and thus prevent the discrimination experienced by too many tenants. The Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms applies to housing and landlords cannot select potential tenants based on personal characteristics listed in the Charter.

This video was produced as part of the For Rent Without Discrimination campaign.
