The Commission recommends that the requirement to notify the coroner in the event of death be extended to CHSLDs and homes for the elderly
Montréal, August 26, 2020 - At a hearing today before the Commission des institutions to react to Bill 45 on the mandate of coroners, the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse recommended, for a third time, that it become mandatory to notify the coroner of a death occurring in a CHSLD, an intermediate resource or a home for the elderly.
