The Director of Youth Protection (DYP) is responsible for accepting and processing reports of children experiencing abuse, neglect or serious behavioural problems. The Commission intervenes if it has reason to believe that the rights of these children are not being respected by the people in charge of them. The Commission can investigate, conduct research and provide training on children's rights.
This video is part of a myth busting campaign about the Commission that aims to raise awareness about its mandate and actions. Learn more about #TheCommissionForReal: www.cdpdj.qc.ca/real
