Philippe-André Tessier is appointed President of the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse
Montréal, February 28, 2019 – The National Assembly today appointed Philippe-André Tessier as President of the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse. Acting President of the Commission for nearly a year, Mr. Tessier was also Vice-President of the Commission's Charter Mandate since December 2017."The members of the Commission welcome the appointment of Philippe-André Tessier, who has been acting as interim President with skill and determination for almost a year. He brought with him his dynamism, his sense of commitment and his collaborative spirit. We are already seeing promising results in the Commission's various areas of intervention," said Isa Iasenza on behalf of the nine members of the Commission.
