The Human Rights Tribunal has ordered a company to pay $4,000 in moral and punitive damages to a former employee dismissed because of a perceived disability, a case brought by the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse.
Montréal, November 26, 2018 – The Human Rights Tribunal has ordered a company to pay $4,000 in moral and punitive damages to a former employee dismissed because of a perceived disability, a case brought by the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse in the name of the now deceased victim.
