Findings of Commission’s investigation into youth housing conditions in Mauricie-Centre du Québec
The Commission has completed its investigation into the living conditions of young people under DYP care in Mauricie-Centre-du-Québec who are placed in overflow facilities. Our visit to the facilities in question revealed significant shortcomings in the living areas of the youth housed in these facilities. The institution responded by dismantling these temporary facilities and agreeing to stop using them, but the Commission stresses that certain structural issues remain.
