Ambassador of Conscience Awards: The Fight for Aboriginal Rights honored

Montréal, May 29, 2017– The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse wishes to congratulate the members of the Indigenous rights movement in Canada who received the Amnesty International Ambassador of Conscience Award on Saturday. "The Commission is particularly proud to have Widia Larivière, one of the recipients of the Ambassador of Conscience Award, on its team," said the Commission president Tamara Thermitus, Ad.E. “her commitment to Aboriginal rights is exemplary and reflects the Commission's concern for the respect and recognition of these rights."
