Montréal, July 4, 2012 - The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse is issuing a reminder that July 13th is the deadline to submit a nomination for the 2012 Rights and Freedom Prize.

“The Commission invites all individuals and organization who are making a difference in their communities and are committed to the defence and promotion of human rights and youth rights to send a nomination form,” said Gaétan Cousineau, president of the Commission.

This year, Mr. Cousineau will chair the jury which also includes 2011 Prize winner Manon Barbeau of the Wapikoni Mobile and the Commission’s first employee, Monique Rochon.
