Temporary changes to our serivces

Our services will be temporarily modified in the current circumstances related to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

If you wish to file a complaint for discrimination, harassment or exploitation:
Use the online PDF form available on the page I Want to File a Complaint and follow the instructions given.

If you wish to request an intervention for a child or youth who has allegedly suffered a violation of their rights:
You can write to: jeunesse@cdpdj.qc.ca or call 1 800 361-6477, option 4.

If you have a file open at the Commission, please note that - except in exceptional situations :

  • you will not receive any notification or resolution until May 4.
  • no recourse will be undertaken on your behalf by the Commission before May 4. This means that the Commission will not bring your case before the Human Rights Tribunal before that date. The limitation period for recourse (or the deadline for referring to the Tribunal after an incident) has been suspended by the Government of Québec, so you will not be affected.

Our information service and  our advisory service regarding reasonable accommodation will be maintained, but may be slow. All training sessions or workshops, as well as conferences offered by our staff members are currently cancelled until May 4, 2020. Some other services and activities may also be affected. Those affected will be notified as appropriate.

Thank you for your understanding.
