Target clientele

Women’s groups, teaching staff, community organization staff or committees, psychosocial rehabilitation agency staff, unions, human rights organizations’ staff, citizen groups, trainers, activists who lead human rights and freedoms defence or education projects or wishing to develop such projects.

Content is adapted to the specific clientele attending the session.


  • Become familiar with human rights;
  • Fully understand principles of equality rights;
  • Differentiate various types of discrimination and the forms they take for women;
  • Deconstruct sex or gender-based prejudices;
  • Fight against sexism.


This session explores gender bias, sexism, rights violations affecting women in particular, ways to fight against sexism in the community, as well as the rights and recourse providing protection against rights violations.

Educational approach

Content is delivered using discussions, a participatory approach, simulation and other exercises, historical examples, and through an interactive presentation.
