Target clientele

Trainers, community workers, counsellors, employers and managers, intercultural workers, citizen groups, activists who lead human rights and freedoms defence or education projects or wishing to develop such projects.

Content is adapted to the clientele.


  • Become familiar with the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms;
  • Understand basic rights;
  • Address discrimination;
  • Identify means of recourse for someone who has experienced discrimination.


After first presenting the various human rights and freedoms, this training session specifically addresses the concept of the right to equality, different forms of discrimination, their impacts, and the services and recourse provided by the Commission. For example, what do you do if someone denies you housing or a job because of your ethnicity or because you are a single mother?

Educational approach

Content is delivered using discussions, a participatory approach, simulation and other exercises, sharing good practices, and through an interactive presentation.
