Ghislain Picard

Ghislain Picard is an Innu (Montagnais) from the community of Betsiamites. After serving as vice-president of the Conseil des Atikamekw et des Montagnais (Atikamekw Montagnais Council) in 1989, he was elected as Regional Chief of the Assembly of the First Nations of Québec and Labrador in 1992, a position he has held since then. Ghislain Picard sits on the executive committee of the Assembly of First Nations at the national level.
