Heather M. MacNaughton

Heather M. MacNaughton is the Chair of the BC Council of Administrative Tribunals’ Education Committee and sits on the Board of Directors of the Council of Canadian Administrative Tribunals and on the Tribunal’s Committee for the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice. She was a litigation partner with the law firm of Lang Michener where she specialized in labour, employment and human rights law. In 1995, Heather M. MacNaughton joined the administrative tribunals sector in Ontario and when she left Ontario in 2000 she was the Chair of two separate tribunals, the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. She has been the Chair of the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal since July 2000. In recognition of her contribution to the Ontario administrative justice sector, she was awarded the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators medal.
