Nicole Filion

Nicole Filion trained as a lawyer, and was president of the Ligue des droits et libertés for over seven years before joining its performance team as coordinator in the fall of 2007. She worked for ten years for the Confédération des Organismes de Personnes Handicapées du Québec (COPHAN, the Québec confederation of organizations for people with disabilities). Nicole Filion also took part in a mission of the High Commissioner for Refugees in Rwanda in 1997 and participated in an observation mission by the International Federation of Human Rights into human rights violations committed by Russia in Chechnya in 2000.
