Pierre Bosset

Pierre Bosset is a lawyer and professor of public law in the legal sciences department at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). His main research interests concern economic, social and cultural rights as the “poor relations” of the rights and freedoms family. Pierre Bosset was director of Research and Planning at the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse, from 1998 to 2007, and directed the work leading up to the publication of the 25-year review of Québec’s Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. One of its main recommendations was the strengthening of the status of economic, social and cultural rights.
