The Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse is hosting the 2016 Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies (CASHRA) annual conference in Montréal on May 16 and 17, 2016 at the Sheraton Center under the theme “The Fight for Equality – A Thousand Challenges”. ​

Further to a complaint filed by Ms. Kelly Martin against Desma inc., a company operating in doors and windows, the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (hereafter the Commission) instituted legal proceedings and alleged that Ms. Kelly Martin was forced to leave her employment after informing her employer Desma inc. that she was pregnant, the whole as it appears from the Tribunal des droits de la personne’s file bearing the number 500-53-000421-154. ​
