​​Following its investigation, the Commission concludes that Quebec’s Director of Youth Protection (DYP) has not taken the necessary means to insure the security and development of two youth who were under the responsability of a former baptist pastor of Québec city. The situation of the youth had been reported several times since 2004 for negligence, physical abuse, isolation and non-attendance at school.

A retirement home has been condemmed by the Human Rights Tribunal to pay more than $11,000 in material, moral and punitive damages to an employee who was fired because of her health condition. The case was brought before the Tribunal by the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse. ​
